AISP Research Exchange

Cultivating community and collaboration

The AISP Research Exchange convenes applied social science researchers from across the U.S. to discuss the role of integrated data in addressing key social policy issues. We are deeply committed to bringing together both people and data through rigorous methods and collaborative partnerships.

Our current work is focused on developing a conceptual data model for measuring the short- and long-term impacts of federal policy changes with state and local administrative data.

About the Research Exchange

The Research Exchange is led by Sharon Zanti, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Iowa State University and Dennis Culhane, Dana and Andrew Stone Professor of Social Policy and Faculty Director of AISP at the University of Pennsylvania. The group is supported by the AISP team.

Our mission is to cultivate a network of researchers across the United States who leverage integrated administrative data from state and local governments to address high-priority social policy issues. We facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation, and impactful research collaborations through in-person and virtual convenings, domain-specific engagements, and multisite research coordination. Together, we strive to promote ethical data use, that advances evidence, and that supports the needs of state and local agency partners and the individuals, families, and communities they serve. We collaborate closely with the Actionable Intelligence for Social Policy (AISP) network in pursuit of these goals.

Our vision is to foster a vibrant, collaborative community of researchers who drive meaningful advancements in social policy through analysis of integrated administrative data. We aspire to become a hub for knowledge exchange and impact oriented research, fostering innovation and practical solutions in the field of integrated data.
