AISP Network: Kansas Data Trust

About the Work

The Kansas Data Trust is a new initiative housed at the Public Policy & Management Center (PPMC) at Wichita State University. It will serve as a trusted platform for cross-system data integration, analysis, and collaboration between state and local public agencies, nonprofit partners, and researchers.

Through secure infrastructure, strong governance, and publicly shared insights, the Kansas Data Trust will help decision-makers solve complex problems using data that’s ethical, timely, and actionable.

Our Goals:

  • Provide public officials with research-grade data and analysis to improve resource allocation and service delivery.
  • Release publicly available, privacy-protected research to support community action and innovation.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across Kansas at the local and state levels.

Over time, this infrastructure will allow Kansas to answer big questions about how housing, education, employment, healthcare, and public safety intersect—and how decision-makers can work smarter across systems to improve outcomes for all Kansans.

Kansas Data Trust is hosted by Public Policy & Management Center at Wichita State University.
