We are proud to announce that a new, updated version of A Toolkit for Centering Racial Equity is now available. Since its original release in 2020, the Toolkit has been used by hundreds of organizations and agencies seeking to acknowledge and mitigate the harms and bias baked into data, data infrastructure, and government data practices. Over the course of 2024-2025, we convened a workgroup to re-envision the Toolkit.
We have also drawn on our experiences operationalizing this work with the Equity in Practice Learning Community to develop a Companion Workbook with activities to guide your journey to centering racial equity.
