The UNC June 2013 newsletter identifies AISP as a key leader in regards to the capabilities of integrated data systems. Both the Institute for Social Capital, Inc. (ISC), an organization associated with UNC, and AISP recognize that partnerships between stakeholder groups of integrated data systems are crucial in obtaining actionable intelligence outcomes that permit policy and practice to advance. ISC’s promotion of evidence-based research reveals the paramount importance of integrated data systems. Both AISP and ISC share an understanding for data-based research and how it can shape the field of social policy.
ISC was created in 2004 by the UNC Charlotte Foundation and merged with the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute in March 2012. Its central mission is to improve university research and acclimate communities to data-based planning and evaluation through an understanding of data integration.
